|Celebration Party for the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival and the 60th Anniversary of P. R. China[中文]|
The traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn festival is coming soon (on
Saturday, October 3). The mid-autumn festival is one of the most
important traditional Chinese festival. In the meanwhile, October 1st
of this year is the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
GMCCA will hold a celebration party for the
traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn festival and the 60th Anniversary of P.

Ambassador Lan will visit Moncton and attend the Bestow Ceremony of Chinese Dragon and Lion Costumes[中文]
support of the Chinese Community’s efforts to keep and promote
traditional Chinese culture, Embassy of the People's Republic of China
in Canada will bestow, on behalf of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office
of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, some Chinese
dragon and lion costumes to the Chinese community in Greater Moncton
Greater Moncton Chinese Cultural Association will accept, on behalf of
the Chinese community in GMA, the dragon and lion costumes presented by
Ambassador Lijun Lan of Embassy of the People's Republic of China in
Canada on the Bestow Ceremony of Chinese Dragon and Lion Costumes to
be held in front of the City Hall of Moncton at 11:30am on Thursday,
September 10, 2009.
Greater Moncton Chinese Cultural Association would like to cordially
invite all of you to attend this important ceremony and witness the
significant donation to the Chinese community.

Officials of the Chinese Embassy will visit Moncton, Halifax and Saint John during the weekend, June 19-22 and will offer convenient consular services from 8:30am to 10:30am in Saturday morning, June 20 at 152G1 Engineering Building, University of Moncton. You can submit your application for a new Chinese passport or application for notarization / authentication.
Greater Moncton Asian Heritage Month Event [中文]
2002, Canadian Government declared the Month of May as Asian Heritage
Month to regconize and acknowledge the important contributions and
history of Asian Canadians to the development and growth of our Nation.
Since then, 10 Canadian cities (Calgary, Charlottetown, Edmonton,
Fredericton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg)
have proclaimed the month of May as Asian Heritage Month in their
cities and have been holding annual festivities.
communities in Metro Moncton will hold a special event to celebrate
Asian Heritage Month in May. This will be the 2nd time for Metro Moncton
to celebrate Asian Heritage Month. Last Asian Heritage Month
celebration event was organised by Canadian Heritage's Moncton Office
and held at the Capitol Theathre in May 2007. Time and venues for the
Asian Heritage Month event this year are as follows:
